Kingdom Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Jeremy “Coach Slim” Freeman and April Freeman—a passionate husband-and-wife team dedicated to nurturing and empowering children. Since 1998, their shared mission has been to create meaningful impact by offering youth love, guidance, and a sense of community through enriching experiences and holistic support.

Kingdom Kids currently offers football, basketball, baseball, and an Energy Squad cheerleading program in the Laveen community, with plans to expand into additional sports across the Valley. These programs serve as a feeder system to help youth transition confidently into school athletics while developing strong character, discipline, and teamwork.

Kingdom Kids proudly serves Laveen and the surrounding communities. We welcome partnerships and sponsorships to help us extend our reach and impact. With your support, we can continue building a positive, empowering environment where youth gain essential life skills, a strong sense of self-worth, and the foundation to become future leaders.

Our Team

With more than 25 seasons of experience coaching youth sports in Arizona and Colorado, Coach Slim has led multiple teams to state championships and national competitions. He currently serves as the Frosh JVB Head Football Coach at Betty Fairfax High School in Laveen, Arizona. Through Kingdom Kids, he prepares young athletes for success at the high school level and beyond—regardless of which school they attend.

April Freeman brings an equally powerful commitment to the organization, emphasizing self-love, wellness, and the emotional well-being of every child. Her passion for health and youth development is central to Kingdom Kids' mission of holistic growth and long-term success for each participant.

Together, Jeremy and April are the proud parents of Whitney, Marvlous, and Kashous—three remarkable children who serve as role models within the Kingdom Kids community. Fueled by their love for family and service, the Freemans created Kingdom Kids to uplift the next generation and inspire them to become confident, caring, and community-minded individuals.
